AS IT NAVIGATES ITS SECOND ALBUM DECADE, SOLARSTONE BRINGS MAJOR CHANGES TO HIS MIXCOMP MARQUE. (MUSICAL PURITY HOWEVER REMAINS STRICTLY INTACT !!).
Having solo-helmed the milestone tenth ‘Pure Trance’ outing, Solarstone reflected at the time that it was: “a transitional moment’ for the series. A natural temporal point, where one ‘chapter’ would close and another open.” And that new “chapter” is where we find ourselves today.
At their core, ‘Pure Trance’ albums has always had an ethos – something seeded in them from the very start.
However, that culture Rich felt was: “achievable, but not yet fully achieved”. Specifically, it’s that of creating the albums the ‘Global Underground’ way or by following the ‘Northern Exposure’ trail. A commitment to compiling and mixing so detailed, so thought through and so experience-led, that it enshrines the 20/20 club experience as close to 1:1 as is humanly possible.
So, to finally make that flesh, he returned the series to the drawing board.

Excellent sound! The broad spectrum of Transz's sound builds from album to album! Very colorful in every sense! Great work!
Amazing album! Better than Pure Trance 10 in my opinion. Even for the dinosaurs stuck in 2002, this has something to offer. It's clear a lot of thought went into this to select the best quality music and a good variety too. Peter Steele stands out and having Kearney's remix of Orkidea on there was a major factor in my decision to buy. The coloured records and cover design - all lovely. Overall this is a fantastic well thought out package.
Excellent quality and perfect tunes by trance masters!
The record cover is made of cheap cardboard with a very thin brittle top layer and the Matt finish looks cheap. There were already parts of the cover that had frayed and corners already squashed. I could not be bothered to request a replacement as likely it would be the same when it arrived. I’ve paid much less for similar products that had much more premium sleeves. Disappointed with the product but can’t fault the music. Hope this feedback goes some way to improving any future physical items produced.

Always was a fan of Solarstone, but this sampler is of a different quality, almost better! The tracks that are chosen are so good, so next level. This is the real Pure Trance, as a brand, but also as the music itself! So glad to own this on vinyl. Great pressing, great sound, great Trance producers!
