Tijs Verwest, more known as Tiësto, started as resident DJ at several clubs in the Netherlands.
Together with Arny Bink, they founded Black Hole Recordings in 1997, where he released the famous Magik and In Search Of Sunrise compilations. Tiësto's first solo album In My Memory was released in 2001 followed by his second aldum Just Be was released in 2004 which was the same year he performed at the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece which was teh start of his compilation Parade of the Athletes. Tiësto released his third studio album Elements Of Life in April, 2007. It featured collaborations with Jes Brieden, Julie Thompson, Christian Burns (of BBMak fame), and BT.
Tiësto was the first DJ who has stared to preform as solo artist at sold out stadiums which has results in the DVD collection: Tiësto In Concert. A true Magikal Journey was started.
